I'm researching and getting ready to purchase new trailer tires for my 28' Enclosed trailer. Want to make sure that I maximize my chances of making it to Mosport in July without any trailer issues.
I will be looking at Load rating "D" tires.
Does anybody have any "watch outs" or advice?
One place has recommended Carlisle trailer tires.
Thanks for your help,

Tim I just replaced the tires on my 24 foot Featherlite. I stayed with the original equipment tires which were Goodyear Marathon 225/75R-15 with load D rating. Some Featherlite trailers do come with Carlise tires so they must also be ok, but a couple of Featherlite dealers suggest that I go with the Marathon's.
See you at Mosport,
Bill

If you can find the Cooper 225/75R 15 trailer service tires in your area they are far and away the best I have seen. They just plain outlast all the others 2 to 1 and the trailer actually tows better with them on. Greg F

In ST225/75R15 try to find load range E or 10ply. They have a higher carrying capacity. Make sure you get "ST" (special trailer) tires not (P)passenger tires. Trailer tires are designed for trailers and their torsional loads as well as carrying capacity. Also remember change your trailer tires every two years...no matter what...
