I have used Swepco 201 in the past, but any preference for a LSD transaxle?

We have been favoring the Swepco 210 ( red) lately to replace the 201 (blue). Better viscosity index for the 016 trans I feel. Greg F

Greg what do you think of the Lubro Moly product? Also their engine oil.

Lubro Moly provides very high quality lubricants. Hard to find here in the NW, and we have a long, successful history with Swepco. I think the Motul formulations are similar to the Lubro moly stuff.... both expensive as well, Greg

Aw gee. There was just something about blue oil I really liked!

There was a green oil. What was that?

Hey, seriously, you guys using a friction modifier with the Swepco for the LSD? If so, GM?

I think the important thing to remember is these tranaxles use the antique brass cone style syncro's. If you use a full synthetic it is typically too slick or too light in viscosity and the syncros have a difficult time matching up the shaft/gear speeds. If you switch to the steel Audi V8 syncros I think you can use anything. Greg F

Someone posted a link to a 2007 Amsoil study of gear lubes on Rennlist: https://docs.google.com/fileview?id=0B9Xi3DgEwJ4kZGNjMzFmYTktMGM1OS00NDE0LTlmODYtZWZhNTk1ZGIwYzhl&hl=en
