Does anybody have any helpful hints for installing Dzus fasteners to attach front bumper cover?

It appears very simple to me.

1) Drill a hole in the anchoring surface, 2) Hold the part to be mounted in the correct location and mark the first hole location or vice versa. 3) Mount the wire 90 degress to the direction that the dzus fastener plate will be mounted. 4) Mount the Dzus fastener and your done.

Only 8 more to go...

This seems simple but, I know I will screw something up at least once or twice before I get it right. Any helpful hints?

What length typically works best for parts that can be mounted on top of each other e.g. Gt Racing bumper cover to front of 944?

Tim, offset the rivet holes of the spring/back part of the Dzus and the screw part or the two pieces of fiberglass will not fit together well. I will take pictures and send them to you.

Guys,

It may without saying but, it's important to understand the thickness of the 2 materials that you are holding together. The total thickness of the two materials is important to selecting the correct spring and fastner.
