It may have been adressed previously, but I did not find it.

Which one is best? 15 or 16 inches wheels?

I would like to use 16 inches wheels as I already have very light 3 pc 17 inches wheels that I could modify into 16 x 8.

I would use R6 at 245/45/16 : thread width 9.2", diam. 24.7", section width 10.1". The 245/50/15 is about the same dimensions. Both are 8" measured rim.

Second question:

225 or 245 or 275?

Tx.

Charles I run 16" but that's because I have turbo brakes. Most guys running anything larger then a 15" do so because of that or for gearing. Guys running 15" have run the 275 on the rear of late not sure its better. Some run 245 all the way around or stagger with a 225 in front and 245 in the rear. Its all personal preference. The other reason I run 16" is because that's what came with the car as well as a spare set and I am cheap...probably the real reason!

Thanks Dave.

So there's no performance to be gained there, taking into account that overall tire diameter is the same and wheel weight is the same (assuming they would weight the same, which is probably not be the case).

Am I correct?

Bigger means heavier and slower only run bigger wheels for brake clearance. If you don't have to I would run 15". If 16'" is all you got run what you brung...there is more performance to be gained in the seat then in any other part of the car!
