What is the ratio of the so called short 5th gear?
Is it: 0.8286 (0.829)?
If so, the 5th gear of a stock 951 gearbox will be the gear that could be used in an NA gearbox, right?

The .829 5th gear can be found in all 924S, 944S, 951 and in 88 up 944 8v cars. Euro cars all had this ratio so Canada is a good place to find them sometimes as well. Greg F
