Back in 2004 when the 944 Cup was just one chapter the drivers packed up their cars and we had points races at Daytona. An experience of a lifetime.

Daytona: 38 degree banking, driving on the beach, drive in church, and more

Despite the fact that I spent the actual race on the inside of the banking with a punctured tire, that was one hell of a good weekend of Daytona driving. Thanks for the memories Dave. You should ask Ricky to post the video he made of that weekend.

must've been a long time ago; all the cars look so fresh!
Lots to look forward to....

Only two drivers who raced with Cup at Daytona raced with Cup in 2012, Steve Randolph and myself. The drivers come and go, but the cars seem to keep hangin around.

And than there were three. Dave Mann was in attendance. Was one of eight 944's loaded on a open hauler from Indian Head, MD. Pretty cool sight.

Speaking of which, I'm hoping that we can band together and arrange some sort of hauling arrangement as well.

Yeah, count me in on that deal. I really don't want to tow there. I've done Sebring and that's 4 days of towning, 2 up and 2 back. Daytona's closer, but not by much.
