1987 Porsche 944 base Track/DE car for sale. Contact: the.cranes@comcast.net. First $3500 takes everything. I used car in my first year of DE for 4 events -- Summit Point (2), Pocono, Lightning -- purchased from NNJR driving instructor in beginning of this year (2012). Car runs very well, extremely reliable and great for DE. Only significant issue (at least to me) is previously repaired stone chip in windshield beginning to spread (stone got me at Lightning), I am willing to replace windshield prior to finalized sale. Interior up front is in amazing shape, stock seats are currently in it with the stock three-point belts. No dents, never in an incident, paint is ok overall, some marred spots where old decals removed clear coat. Modifications I had done over the summer include (have all receipts, invested more than $8k into car): - Six point harness mounting hardware on both passenger and driver sides - Magnaflow stainless exhaust from headers back (awesome sound) - auto roll bar, modified to accept HANs harness set up for both sides - 8 phone dial wheels '15 - 4 mounted with Toyo R888 Proxes used for three DE events (lots of life left on them), 3 mounted with brand new R888s and one with a hoosier slick - 6 slot wheels 16' with hoosier slicks in various conditions (14 wheels overall) - New battery - Front drop link uprated kit - New water pump - New power steering pump - Shaft idler roller - New cam and balance shaft belts and rollers Modifications made by previous owner include: - Weltmeister sway bars, front and rear - koni shocks all fours - 250# springs on front - Torsion bar rear - chip - headers - solid motor mounts - camber truss - charlie arms Selling the car due to a recent new acquisition of fully prepped '86 944 turbo.
