MOTOR:
- Fresh Timing / Cam Belt
- Fresh cam and balance belt tensioners.
- Fresh water pump (updated style)
- Fresh Thermostat
- Fresh exhaust studs on head
- 1983 motor has forged rods; cross drilled crank (it did stock)
- Car starts / idles / sounds as it should with no smoke even when revved strongly
- Fresh Oil, Amsoil
- Radiator appears to be very, very, fresh (and fresh coolant).
- New Starter
- New Lindsey Exhaust
TRANSMISSION:
- 5-Speed with Limited Slip Differential (LSD)
- Shifts well with all synchro’s functioning
- Clutch is not stock, but do not know brand; appears ample life remaining and delivery is as expected with no issues.
- Manual Steering Rack
BRAKES
- Stock Brakes with rear stainless lines
- Fresh Brake fluid (including bleeding master cylinder)
- Hawk Blue Brake Pads with .90 remaining, new spares included
- Rotors appear to have little use to date
SUSPENSION
- SPEC 944 / SP1 Legal Suspension:
- Koni Front Suspension (400 pound Springs)
- Rear Koni Sports (yellow)
- Weltmester (thick) sway bars, with hard pick up points
- Delrin Bushings in all suspension pick up points / no rubber
- All front A-Arm bushings are delrin;
- Bushings in rear trailing arms are hardened / not stock rubber
- Ground Control Camber Plates / Ground Control Spring plates
- Car is lowered considerable; equal to competitive race height for SP1
- Car is believed to have 30 mm torsion bars; car handles as an SP1 car should
INTERIOR
- All HVAC / Interior of car removed (except door panels and windows) removed but clean
- Red interior remains / presents well (freshly painted)
- Wiring harnesses under dash removed (clearly professionally done)
- Sunroof hardware removed / plates installed to hold in place
- Electronic RPM gauge mounted with shift light
- Race Tech 1000 Seats on sliders (2010 build date for seats)
- Schroth 5 point harnesses (valid through 2020)
- Fire Extinguisher mounted
- Race wheel installed.
OTHER
- This car was represented to be originally built up by Tim Comeau in California
- Odometer reads 53k but not working;
- Car is well prepared. Example is that seat mounting hardware (plates) all custom fabricated, and mounting system for sunroof is also custom fabricated etc.
- Stock Exhaust but catalytic converter believed to be open
- Tub is in excellent shape; no evidence that ever bent or in accident (front right fender repainted but again the front horns, and pick up points on the fender are perfect with no evidence of damage).
- Two separate spots on car “touched up” (poorly) but generally the car presents well.
- Car remains street legal due to working lights (including headlights, blinkers)
- Car drives well and no known mechanical issues
- Clean and Free Title in previous owner’s name.
- Welded Safety Devices Cage
- Currently on black gas burners with Toyo RR’s, 1 spare set of wheels included
- Current PCA log book.
- This would be a very, very competitive SP1 or SPEC 944 car.
