Time to tear down the engine and begin the rebuild over the winter. I'd like to know what's the best quality rod and main bearings to use. Any suggestions.

You know you posted this in the classifieds.
Well, I think that the answer is to take the factory bearings and have them coated. I have had bad luck with the typical glyco that you buy and regular retailers. I have heard that there was a bad batch going around. I had mine coated at Calico. Cost about $40.

Ed,
In the past Gyco bearings were made in Germany and stamped with 6 QC markings. The most recent set I got were engineered in Germany made in Poland with no QC marks. Porsche coated bearings is the way to go.
Thanks GB
