John, I'd be interested in a write up of what you did. I'm thinking of updating my front piece also this winter.

I don't want to hi-jack the thread, but since it's a front bumper thread...

I was looking for a fiberglass front bumper (turbo style). I already know the GT-Racing verson. But I have seen another differen model on some cars (that blue an those pink cars.... :D ).

Who manufactures that one?

Tx.

c.

NB. if anyone have one a used one for salefora good price, I'd buy it.

ill put a few notes all over to take some pictures so i can do a write up on it hopefully this week if not this weekend. the weather wasnt warm enough to need brake cooling so i taped them over to help with aero. the foglight buckets were cut open and i made up an easy duct. ill write up the whole thing but its a great mod especially for the cheap cost<50 bucks i beleve and the ridiculous strength. Oh on side note if it were me stick with the factory bumper its structural in my design and its suprising how light these cars are i have to add 125+ pounds to get to 2750 for prep 1

so basically this is how it was done. for the cooling ducts i just cut open the back of factory fog light ducts and took thin 3 in tubing slid it in and cut and flared it to bolt it to the fog light bucket.I cut out a 2x8 to fit the factory front fascia all the way around. drilled 3 supports and used threaded rods with collars coming down from the front bumper down through the wood. i picked up at lowes a roll of their high end garden edging material which was perfect for this, its made of fiberglass and wraps nicely around front end. i drilled and screwed the fiberglass through the factory fascia and into the wood. this combo is incredibly strong and also fairly forgiving. im able to stand on the front end but when it hits curbing it seems to flex and bounce right back. I'm planning on making it removable for next season because getting it on the tow dolly in a whole production now. if you have any other ?s let me know.
