Does anyone know or remember who was producing the reinforcement bar that welds into the drivers floor board of 944's?

thanks

Don't recall a reinforcement.

Going forward I know several, including myself, no longer using the floor to mount seats. Instead adding doubler plates to the sill and center and then rectangular cross section 1/8" wall tubing between. Essentially building a mini cage just above but independent of the floor.

We are hoping to put the seat lower in the car by installing some plates in the front and rear mounting positions. The front stock mounting point is fairly flimsy and has started to crack in a few places so I feel it needs to go! It is too bad these cars don't fix themselves!

Your thought is essentially what I was looking for on this topic. I remember someone sold a kit at one time.

Thanks

The reinforcement that you guys are thinking of from the old forums was not for the seat. It was simply a reinforcement in front of the seat at the a pillar to help in case of a t-bone accident. It runs from the a pillar to the tunnel. I don't recall anyone selling them just that it was an approved modification.
