Now what?

Ordered all the various bearings etc to refresh the trans and lsd. Everything came in except the lsd thrust washer (2 required) part number 944 332 561 00 was back ordered. Called to inquire and told Porsche has discontinued same! That's going to be real inconvenient as it appears almost all of these are broken.

I'm not sure of the details but all of the parts are available from Guard Transmissions to rebuild factory LSD. Sloan at SSI has done one for me and is rebuilding another one for me that will have 80% lockup. Give him a call. He can rebuild it or maybe sell you the parts.

Thanks. I'll check with Sloan. Knew they were using Guard driven elements to beef up the oem lsd but it didn't occur to me to look for the trinkets there too. Possible - although I suspect Guard my have used a better design for this tiny part.
