What coil-over spring height are people using on rear shocks? I have some 8" springs and some 6" springs that I've picked up over the years. I've always used 8" on my Ledas. Is there an advantage of one over the other? Is spring performance different somehow between an 8" and 6" of the same rate?

Smaller = less weight :lol:

The performance should be the same as long as you don't bind the coils. I can't recall exactly but I believe that mine are 6".

Thanks, Bill. I guess that both 6" and 8" support the full travel of the control arm, huh? Do you have 2.25" ID 6"
or 2.5" ID? I think I have both 2.25 and 2.5x8".

6" X 2.25" are the easiest to package. The 2.50" springs will interfere with the control arm without some crazy lower spring seats. Greg F

I couldn't get my car low enough with 8 inch rear springs. Had to go with 7 inchers.
