Sounds like a funny subject line, but it isn't... WARNING! I recieved a call a few weeks ago from a prospective 944 racer that had just finished installing his rebuilt engine into his 84 car and when he attempted to fire it up it cranked very slowly and would not fire up. He applied a battery charger and the car started, ran, and then died. After they extiguished the fire under the rear of the car they discovered that they had forgotten to bolt on the grounding strap from the bulkhead to the bellhousing. The next most convenient ground was apparently the brand new braided brake lines they had just installed, so those heated up red hot and melted before catching fire. Greg F
