SCCA Pro Racing has made the invite and we have accepted the offer to hold Nationals in 2011 at VIR on Sept 9-11.
Hope you will plan to join us.

We have accepted an offer from SCCA Pro racing to be part of a World Challenge weekend at Barber Motorsports Park on June 10-12. This event will be a points race for the South Chapter.

The date and location for the 2011 Nationals has changed. SCCA Pro Racing has lost their October date at VIR. The only replacements woudl be at VIR in May, or Las Vegas or Rorad America. All great tracks but either the timing or location were less then ideal.
Instead, we have decided on moving Nationals to NJMP Thunderbolt with NASA NE on October 28,29,and 30. All the details are not yet worked out, but the format is expected to be the same as that used for 2010. We are getting our own run group for Saturday and Sunday with about an hour each day. Friday will be an optional open practice day with 4 hrs of track time.
We will also plan to have our Annual Awards Banquet that weekend at the track.

I have another idea. We in Citrus Region PCA and Crown Region PCA are hosting the PCA race at Daytona in October. I am sure we could accomadate the National group that weekend. It is a very big place with a place for banquets at the track!

Aside from VIR, NJMP is the only track that have the facilities to accommodate and is relatively equidistant to the extreme location of our racers.

Note: this is still tenative........not final....and could change. Not yet out of consideration is the Gold Cup at VIR on Nov 5,6,7

Think I'd be in favor of the VIR date... Unless it conflicts with our other southern dates... I can't remember.
