On a separate note, anyone know what the facilities are like at LR? Specifically power availability and showers for those of us that sleep in our trailers?

No power. And I'll let some of the locals report on the showers, but I don't remember any and the bathrooms were on the same level as Summit before they rebuilt them, ie pretty grungy. On the bright side, the paddock was finally paved. It used to be grass/dirt which turned to mud when it rained which it probably will in April. And the food used to be pretty good at the food stand.

Thanks for the info Cris, though I wish it was better news.

Food's pretty good, that's true. But also keep in mind; no open fires, so the Bar-B is out.

And there's not much in the way of commercial development in the area - one of the draws of the place. But that means, not much in the way of outside food like pizza, etc. The hotels and restaurants that are there are mucho expensive, this is upper class, prep school country. I used to stay in Torrington, CT, about a 25 min ride from the track. A more typical suburban town with amenities.

Oh, you're referring to my FB status. ell, that was kinda of a goof up. :ugeek:

Was finally getting around to filling in some blanks on my background info, and technically I am and have been married for 15 yrs., so I clicked on married. But thats a complicated story best not told here. Safe to say though that , No, I did not just get married.

Apologies for all the confusion. My son has said often technology is not my friend. Though thanks for all the well wishes.
