This event will utilize the standard (no chicanes) 2.25 mile Thunderbolt Raceway course at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

A few VIP garages are still available. The Suites are sold out for Saturday night.

Access to hot areas will be limited to SCCA members 16 years of age and older; members under 18 require an appropriate minor waiver (see above). Crew members who are not members of SCCA are not allowed in the hot pits or the Grid; however, they may obtain a weekend membership or join SCCA at Registration. Credentials must be visible in hot areas. Only the driver/entrant may change the names on crew lists.

As as is typical, car numbers will be assigned on a first come first serve basis for Nationals.

If a driver desires a three digit number, select an available two digit number and then contact Terri Zane - the event Registrar at 609 784-5316 or TZane4399@comcast.net , She can use the tools available to her to change the number to the desired three digit selection.

SCCA can accommodate three digit numbers but they strongly prefer two digit numbers to assist their backup manual scoring efforts.

We are creating a highlight video for the Annual Awards Banquet being held on Saturday. I have asked drivers to submit their best clips. I have already received some good videos.

In addition to giving drivers the opportunity to share thier best (or worse) moments of the 2012 season, or that of their fellow drivers, I am offering a $150 prize for the best video clip that makes it nto the highlight film.

Just send your video clips of 15 seconds or less, or longer if that action packed, to me at cup944@aol.com in a file format. If your video is linked to a web site, please download and send to me in file format. T

Registration for the 2012 944 Cup National Championship is now open on our DLB online registration system.

After you navigate to DLB and login, you need to set the filter bar for Club = 'South Jersey Region SCCA' and the Event Type = 'Club Race All'. At the same time, you should set the Views to either 'List' or 'Year' to view the available events. There are a set of links at the bottom of the event box to access the various registration functions. To view the event Supplemental Regulations, you need to click on 'Download'. To enter the event, you need to click on 'Register'. To see all of the current entries, you need to click on 'Entry List'.

The primary rules and procedures for this event are in the Supplemental Regulations. We strongly encourage every entrant to download and review this document. Particular attention should be paid to Supp Regs P1 thru P7 which specifically pertain the the Nationals. Dave has mentioned some of the more important rules in his posts above.

In the first step of registering - the Registration Agreement - you will be attesting that you have a valid competition license acceptable to SCCA.

Most of the entry information is very straightforward. The multiple entry discount fee should only be used if you have already entered the JRRC regional at full Price. Dave explained the two / three digit car number procedure above. The entrant is an optional field which may be used to record your sponsor, car owner, etc.; it can be left blank.

After you have registered, you can check the entry list to verify your entry and view the current entry list.

There are two opportunities for additional time on Thunderbolt during the Nationals.

On Friday, the Shattenbaum Region of PCA has a DE day on Thunderbolt. Registration is open on MotorsportsReg .

The JRB is conducting the Jersey Road Racing Classic (JRRC) regional as a companion event for the Nationals. All 944 Cup cars are eligible to run this event in their 944 Cup configuration - Cup Class can run in ITS and Super Cup Class can run in ITR. Both classes are in Group 6 which has been conveniently scheduled to eliminate any conflicts with the 944 Cup sessions. 944 Cup entrants registering for the JRRC qualify for the $100 multiple entry discount. Goodyear has argeed to up the contingency for first place in the Championship race on Sunday. The winner now gets two free tires. The 5th place car still gets one tire.

The contingency remains the same for the Saturday race, one tire for 1st and 1 tire for 5th place.
