Agreement has been reached with SCCA to host the 7th Annual 944 Cup Nationals for 2012. The venue is New Jersey Motorsports Park on the Thunderbolt Circuit. The date is October 20 & 21. SCCA is comping all drivers with a SCCA weekend membership and will accept comp licenses and log books from SCCA, PCA, NASA, or CASC for this event. The 944 Cup will have a Cup only dedicated run group. SCCA will provide the highly regarded race support services. |

When I last checked two weeks ago, there were still VIP garages and VIP suites available for the weekend of Cup Nationals and the Annual Awards Banquet. I have arranged with a golf cart company local to NJMP to provide rentals for Nationals. Anyone interested contact Kenny at: (856) 207-9499 The prices are as follows: 4 seater or 2 seater with utility carry all: $120 total for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 2 seater: $110 total for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This includes delivery and pick up at the track. |

So you think you have skills or balls, or both. Let's see what you got. Need short video clips from in car cams with Cup racing action during the 2012 eason. Each clip should be about 15 seconds long and contain something notable passes, near misses, off road adventures, etc. . Send as many as you can. All will be conidered for inclusion in the highlight video. Send file(s) of videos to me at cup944@aol.com. Need asap but no later then September 15. Putting together a season in review video for the annual awards banquet. Thanks |

Registration will open in about 10 days and will be made available on a new web site maintained through SCCA, which is the sanctioning body running this event. A SCCA membership will NOT be required to enter. There will be a practice, qualifying session and 30 minute race on Saturday. The qual session will set the grid for the Saturday race only. The Saturdaay race will count as a double regional points race. The Saturday race finishing positions will set the grid for the Sunday championsihp race. Sunday will have a 15 minute warm up in mid morning with a 45 minute championship race first session after lunch (as currently planned). The Annual Awards banquet will be held Saturday evening starting at 6 pm for appetizers and cocktails, followed by a dinner and the awards ceremony. All complimentary for registered drivers. Includes a premium open bar serving beer, wine, and mixed drinks. |

As the season winds down, a reminder that a driver must participate in 3 regional events to be eligible to become the Nationals Champion. |
