SunCoast Chapter Has Appealing Program for Racers

We have an opportunity with NASA Florida for a RANDOM SunCoast Chapter '44CUP SERIES COMPETITOR to have a chance to win two Hoosier tires at each '44Cup Championship round of our 2010 schedule that is being raced with NASA Florida. This is in addition to the normal Hoosier tire contingency program. It works like this: If our '44Cup or '44SuperCup entry list has at least ten (10) fully paid entries who start the feature race on Saturday, a random finisher in the class or classes that have ten or more '44Cup or '44SuperCup starters will be awarded two Hoosier tires, valued at up to $500.00. The winner simply pays shipping. The tentative procedure is as follows: At the Saturday morning driver's meeting, an impartial NASA official will put a number that falls within the number of entrants for the eligible series (Cup and/or SuperCup) into an envelope that will then be sealed. During the Saturday evening Trophy presentation, the envelope will be opened, and the '44Cup/SuperCup series racer who finished the FEATURE RACE ON SATURDAY in the position that is written inside the envelope, wins the tires. Just remember, we need TEN FULLY PAID ENTRANTS who are starters in either '44Cup or '44 SuperCup to make this opportunity available. Tell all the competitors you can think of to get out there with us and have some fun! Let's get those front engined Porsches to the race track!!!
Our 2010 NASA FL rounds are:
April 24-25 Palm Beach
May 22-23 Homestead
June 19-20 Sebring

Nice work Nick. A great inducement to get competitors out and it's not based on wining so more drivers have a chance at the tires.

Thanks Bill. It was very important to me to come up with some way to make it more appealing to ANY competitor who spends his time and hard earned money to be out here with us. Where you finish is not always representative of how hard you've worked to be there, so this seemed a great way to make the tire award a random one.
I presented it to our NASA chapter yesterday morning, and by this morning we had all the bugs worked out and the verbiage that they required in place. NASA FL was quite enthusiastic about the program, and I thought the tire award value was quite generous. I only hope that others will seek to help reward their generosity with their membership and patronage. This is the type of attitude towards racers that should be rewarded. On top of this, they have also lowered the racer's entry fees this season! I hope we can have a win-win situation from the first event.
