While no signed contract yet, all is going well with tying down the details for Nationals at Monticello.

I have been informed that PCA is approving this event for the date posted. The final details with the track have been worked out this past week. Registration will open on clubregistration.net on August 25.

And Cup drivers needing to book a room, please let me know. Have a block of rooms being held at the Hampton Inn.

Year end awards will also be included as part of this event, where the regional and national championship trophies will be awarded and the following prizes for the champions:

**** A full race season of free entries to the winner of the Nationals for each of the two 944 Cup classes. Pirelli World Challenge also offers a half season of free entries for second place, and one free entry for third place.

Count me in for a room at this time. I'll need one unless there is ample power available in the paddock and we're allowed to "camp."

from what I saw at Monticello, power in the paddock may not an option where the trailers are parked.

Qualifying for Nationals: Race 1 grid position on Saturday determined by qual session earlier in the day. We will use the fastest lap time of Race 1 for grid for Race 2.
And National Championship race grid on Sunday will be the fastest time from either Race 1 or Race 2.

National Championship race is currently planned for 40 minutes to go green at 9:30 am. Also, looks like there will be a 40 minute all PCA classes 4th fun race immediately following lunch on Sunday.

Friday is a full day of practice with tech and registration opening at 5:30 PM til 7 PM on Thursday and again at 7 am Friday. Track gates will open to racers at 3PM on Thursday. First practice on Friday slated to start at 8:30 for 944 Cup.

On Sunday, 944 Cup National Championship race will start at 9:15 AM .

Approximately 2 hours of practice available on Friday. Plenty of time to get to know the track.
