As I sit here in a state of utter disbelief and profound amazement in the mecca of the ultimate grassroots movements of my time, Woodstock, NY, I am excited to announce to all the Cup drivers that Hoosier has stepped up big time and added our National Championship event to our tire contigency program.:

Dave,
Thanks for the info. Hoosier is proud to be able to support the 944 Cup series. I guess I was unaware of this "special" event that appears to be considered your season end championship. I think it's a great idea. I'm sure it is cost prohibitive for most of your competitors to tow to Miller for the NASA Nationals. Hoosier would like to double the contingency for that race, awarding 4 tires for 1st, 2 tires for second, and 2 tires for third.

As your event is scheduled as part of what is an SCCA Pro weekend, our track service agreements stipulate that all tire service including support series must be serviced by Hoosier Tire South, Road and Drag/Appalachian Tire. Let me know what we can do to further assist you with making this event successful.

Best Regards,
Bruce

While this is great news for the series, thE bad news is that Phil's Tire will mot be our tracside tire support for Nationals. I'm sure Appalacian will do a fine job for us.

The contingency applies to Cup and Super Cup and requires the same numebr of entries as for a regional race for eligibilty. THANK YOU HOOSIER!!!

We have 7 entries already for the Cup class, so the full tire contingency is in effect for that class.

Also, the tire awards will be presented based on the drivers finish in the championship standings at the end of the weekend, which considers both the regionals points earned, one for each regional race to max of 10, plus the points earned based on the race results for Sunday's Championship race.
