As always, we're going to see comments based on everyone's individual agenda. So, of course I favor NJMP. But I have to admit that it seems logical to me that a championship runoff be at the very end of the season, even though we don't necessarily do it that way.

VIR date in early November works well with the Southern Schedule.

Here is some info on the Gold Cup: http://www.sportscardigest.com/vir-gold ... nt-page-1/I am waiting to hear back from VIR on what if anything they can offer us. Should know something early next week. The possibility of VIR needs to be at least considered with our drivers located in the South.

I am not so sure the NW guys would tow 100 miles, let alone 2800mi to run at NJMP.... at least VIR is an interesting circuit with some history. Daytona is a circuit with great history, but is not very interesting to drive. Greg F

DD - I don't have any dates in front of me - but what about Mid-Ohio? It seems to be pretty central for 6-8 hours for everyone, and probably closer for the Florida people?
edit - marginally closer for the PNW people, great history and great to drive

In the case of Mid Ohio, we dont even have a chapter.......closed it down a couple of years ago when NASA decided to hijack the the Cup drivers to GTS at a Mid Ohio event.

VIr is a no go at the Gold Cup. Heard from VIR officials today and while they would love to have us could not find the time we would need in their schedule for that weekend.
This puts us at NJMP October 28, 29, 30 at Thunderbolt, subject to finalizing a deal with NASA NE.
