Quote, originally posted by jjadczak ยป The June date is the Hyperfest date at Summit? Do you know if NE is close to releasing their schedule? I have been told by NASA that the NJ date is suppose to be 2 weeks before Hyperfest, as I recall. Larry is working on the NEC schedule.

what's the consensus on track conditions at Summit Point? It was the only track in the NE that I didn't run at this year, and frankly, I missed it. I'd like to come down there next year, but was wondering about the surface, which was awful at the end of '08. Have they fixed it?

I ran there this last weekend with the Vintage Racer Group in their Modern GT group. The track really isn't that bad as many of the washboards in T1, T5,T6 have been smoothed over or milled. Much better than it was earlier in the year. The good news is that we were told in the driver's meeting that BSR had a professional paving company come out and take core samples and the track is scheduled for a complete repave in March. The track will be closed for three weeks to allow proper curing. The company supposedly paved other racetracks such as Homestead. Intersting note for Dave, in talking with the organizers, they are looking to offer track time to a specific mark such as Lotus or Porsche if they can bring at least 15 to 20 cars and offer them thier own group time on track. Might be worth checking out as this is a VERY laid back group and they run all of their races on the east coast, including the Jefferson 500. Here are some videos of my weekend http://www.vimeo.com/7998965http://www.vimeo.com/7990816

I'm digging this Turkey Bowl event, I watched your first video, Steve, thanks for posting it. I've got a few thoughts, but will watch the second vid before comment. Nice run!

Cup actually ran the Turkey Bowl in the early years of the series. Later dropped out because of the late date. Nice bunch of folks.
