Calabogie, twice ,I dont think the turn out would be good, most if not all of the s ontario racers have yet to go there. Most will end up racing at Mosport ,PCA.. places to stay at calabogie are on the light side.

I enjoy Calabogie but I don't think I would race there twice in one year. The Mosport PCA race is always my first priority in planning my race season since it is my PCA regions race and I want to see it around in the future, if it is a Cup race or not. Are we going to need another license to race at the 2nd Calabogie race? How many licenses are we going to need? PCA, SCCA, CASC and if we want to race in the US we will also need EMRA and/or NASA.
Charles I wouldn't worry about getting the US drivers up here. If there is no cross over event they will not come.

Charles I wouldn't worry about getting the US drivers up here. If there is no cross over event they will not come. EMRA didn't require us to get a separate license. Using our NASA or PCA license was enough. I think the original plan was to just pay a $10 fee too but I don't recall if that even happened. Would think, depending on the final outcome of course, you will need a NASA license again.

I know that lots of people don't like PCA, but I too want to support PCA up north. For the licenses, you forgot to mention SCCA pro So for the license, we need at least PCA (for WG - everybody wants to race there), SCCA pro (for the 1st Mosport). I understand that we will not need an IMSA license for the Calabogie race. Any racing licence fits for Mt-Tremblant. Then what, maybe NASA for the Nationals?

" The PCA Mosport date was the least attended Cup race in Canada last year. Low enough that we just satisfied the mimimum requirement for a split start which is a very high priority for me in scheduling dates "
I agree 100% on your split start requirement and it it seems to me that the series has enough legs and cars that given fairly balanced schedules that it shouldn't be an issue. Not sure how many cars PCA req'd for this at Mosport - but I was there and I thought we had at least a dozen ? Also, it would really help the series if we could sway more 944's that run in all those goofy PCA classes to join us. That would really help the Super Cup numbers as well. We all know who a lot of those racers are- and everyone needs to hype up our series to them. Randy & I probably wouldn't be involved right now if it wasn't for a bunch of Quebec guys that coaxed us into joining them at our first Mosport PCA event in 2009.

Including the SC (sp3), we were 17 IIRC.
Yes, adding the GT class to our group would be nice, but I doubt PCA will let us do that. I have a GT3S 951 and I have to run in the red run group. I can do exibition in yellow. But the race in not counting.
When not in PCA, we always have our GT class for the cars that don't meet the Cup or SC regulations.

I believe he is asking if there is an early season EMRA event we could do.
