There is test and tune day. It’s a promoter test day on Friday, hosted by CMP with at least 2 hours of track time for the 944s.

Nationals 2012 Update:
Continue to work on securing a date for the 2012 Nationals. Expect one of the following dates:
Sept. 29 -30 Watkins Glen, NY /NASA
Oct 20 - 21 NJMP Thunderbolt/SCCA
Oct. 27 - 28 NJMP Thunderbolt/NASA
Finalizing the regional schedules depends on which of the three National dates above works out.

No brainer- NASA & The Glen. Sad thing is that NJMP has so much going for it as far the amenities, condos & garages etc.- but the track itself was not conducive for any real racing to happen- especially with the stupid chicane left in again for Sunday. Other factor will always be the weather at end of Oct. I don't know that we would go back there at that time of year quite honestly- so our fingers are crossed for The Glen.

I'm inclined to agree with you, Max. The amenities at NJMP are second to none; the Clubhouse, the garages, the suites on pitlane...so nice to race there. I love the circuit too, but that chicane ruins it, especially when it's wet and green. The Glen can be gorgeous at that time, and the ride up route 17 is spectacular. But we might also freeze.
Like I said; BRING IT ON!!!!!

Yeah- we really enjoyed the facility and having the clubhouse right there was really cool for beer and some eats without having to go to town- and other than Sat.- the weather was do-able. But the track........ I only drove it on the test day on Friday with the chicane. Maybe it's totally different without it- I don't know. Randy felt the same way. I know the conditions were the same for everyone and that's ok- but like I said- I can't see any real racing and passing happening on it. To me it's a lapping/ track day type facility.

not really true, Max. I've done some of my best racing and had some of my best duels at T-bolt. But, that chicane eliminates at least one great passing opp, and makes for a long run to the next one. Nationals weekend was the first time I'd even run that, and I couldn't get used to it. Without that, I really love the place. Check some youtube vids and you'll see good racing there. And there's also Lightning which is a really nice club circuit, like a longer Lime Rock.
