I see than rear wings are allowed, What is the current ruling on wider fenders and quarter panels? Specifically, can flares be added to stock panels? Can Stock panels be "stretched" to accommodate larger wheels/tires? If so, what are the limits? Not in 2011, but the SC rules will be revised to more closely mirror the GTS rules including fender flaring. The rules on wings will also be changed to match the GTS rules

Dave, thanks I have to decide on flares or wider front fenders soon, for the 2012 season. Will both be allowed? Available options for the front are either 2" wider fenders using a stock Turbo/S2 front bumper or add-on flares. I already have rear flares shown below. The spacers are probably a little too wide to ensure that the wheels are covered, but that's easy to fix.

I just checked the GTS rules and bodywork is not mentioned. I suggest you use the size of the commonly available body kits (GT-Racing and Broadfoot) and as limits. That is basically 2 1/4 inch wider front and rear. I think the rear flares on my new car are Gt-Racing, but the Broadfoot stuff looks almost identical.

In 2011, the SC rules will be revised to allow for fender flaring in the front and rear.

Hey Dave will Cup rules also go towards whats allowed in GTS-1? Referring to the use of a rear wing and splitter mainly.

So as a clarification , what is allowed as far as flared fenders front and rear ? Complete replacements or add-ons , how wide ?
