Should the minimum weights be lowered by 50 lbs for all Super Cup models for 2014?

Dave, I never thought you were being argumentative, not in the slightest. I think I was quite clear, I do not disagree with the weight changes, I just wanted to explore other ways to achieve the same goal, if they don't work, that's Ok. I am not voting against, this is simply a question and answer forum and we have done that. I am not and have not recommended that you shelve your plans to adopt the new weights for 2014 - far from it. Thank you.

Heh, no intenion of attacking anyone , I dont think we all need the details of any ones life.I understand everyone got issues. after sleeping on it , my comment today , was Super Cup is not the budget class. by the way I am at my bussiness 7 days a week except when racing.

No problem Ernie, and like I said, no offense taken or intended, and i'm buying the beer at the next meet OK? I would love to have more time to do what I would like to do on the car - but a LOT of the time, life just gets in the way darn it!! So, if your daughter has any spare time, I have some underseal that needs to come off!!

The 2014 Super Cup rules will state as follows:

(m)Sheet metal modifications in the rear deck, trunk and spare tire compartment are allowed for installation of a fuel cell or to the spare tire compartment to facilitate removal and installation of transmission. The welding of flat metal for repair of chassis cracks is permitted. Added material may not connect with roll cage components or otherwise provide chassis stiffening beyond the repair of worn or weakened areas. Welded metal cannot be used for ballast

Also worth noting is a change to the rules stating:

Impact absorbing material may be positioned between the fuel tank and rear of the car.

This was added to the 2014 rules for the purpose of allowing added protection for a rear end collison considering factory designed protection such as the spare tire compartment, the spare tire, stock metal bumpers and bumper shocks may be removed per the rules.
