Safety Rule Notice:

1) Snell SA 2005 helmet expiration date for PCA Club Racing extended to January 1, 2017. If your Snell SA2005 helmet is still in good condition and you wish to do so, you may continue to use it in PCA Club Racing up to January 1, 2017. While the June 1 expiration has worked well for the past several Snell cycles, for various reasons some manufacturers are slower than in the past about getting all their models in all sizes on the market. There is no overall shortage of helmets with the latest Snell rating, but helmet fit is very important and varies with individual head shapes, and preference for make and model is important to many racers as well. The Snell Foundation recommends that helmets be replaced every five years, and racers with Snell SA2005 helmets should take that into consideration when deciding if they should purchase one of the many Snell SA2015 helmets available now or as the one they want becomes available, or change to a helmet of a different manufacturer or model which is available.

2) Seat Belt Safety Notice: The SFI has sent out the following notification concerning seat belts found not to be compliant. Any racer with these belts should replace them, as they are no longer valid for PCA Club Racing.

Driver Restraint Assemblies Manufactured and Certified to SFI Specification 16.1 by Ruian Dragon have been found to be non-compliant with SFI Specification 16.1. All camlock type Driver Restraint Assemblies Manufactured and Certified to SFI Specification 16.1 by Ruian Dragon must be immediately be removed from service and returned to Ruian Dragon.
