So to be clear, the Prep 2 cars must run either a 7X15 or 7X16" wheel with a maximum allowable tread width of 10.1"? I have never been able to order the 275/35-15 R6 Hoosiers and I am a Hoosier dealer.... Greg F

Hi Greg, they are on this price list and tire specs page. Part number 46535. We have been using them since Sept. 2008.

DD - looking to collate tire specs as some of these came over from the old forums and have superceded the PDF rules

As I understand it - for Cup class

1) Cars must run DOT approved tires
2) Max width is 10.3 inches per manufacturers spec
3 944 Spec cars must run the Toyo RA1 or R888 in the approved size - 225/50/15

Have I missed anything?

Thanks!

Matt

10.3 for Preprared only. Stock is 10.1.

Greg:

If u are a Hoosier dealer, wondering if Hoosier will qualify you as an authorized trackside support for Hoosier, so we can allow the NW drivers to win free tires. Of course, you would also need for SCCA to set up a class for 944 Cup as they have done here in the East.

For Prep 2, Tires Sizes are free but must not extend beyond the fenders. We have adopted the wheel size set forth by SCCA for ITS. If you get SCCA to set up yur own class out their in the NW, we can change yur wheel size if u like.

The rules have been changing ever since we started the series 10 years ago, and dont expect that will ever change.

Oh, well if yur referring for 2011, the process has been going along fairly quickly given its only been about a month since we had the last Cup race for 2010. I would expect in the next couple of weeks we should be able to get them posted once we finish up with the vetting, coordinating with PCA and the SP rules, and as the weather turns cold and less agreeable for playing golf.

I don't think they've ever been release before Christmas. I know cause I generally use the time off around the holidays to prep and post them.
