Dave ive never ran with pca before, i just became a member but do not have a pca racing license or log book. Will my nasa license be honored for this event? I am sending in my pca license paperwork this week after i get my physical signed off but just want to be sure.

I am sending in my pca license paperwork this week after i get my physical signed off but just want to be sure. Hopefully you get the paperwork in rather quickly. Susan Shire (contact info is on the PCA National site) is the licensing person you will have to speak with at some point before the event. You will have to attend an orientation meeting on Thursday evening and likely have to participate in the practice starts (4th practice session on Friday). Once that's all done and you don't have any issues/incidents, they will give you a provisional license at the Saturday drivers meeting (so you should definitely attend said meeting). You'll have to get your car tech'd too so make sure everything is up to date; belts, seat, etc. If your seat is too old, it will require a seat back brace, if you don't already have one. Hope that helps. PCA can be a PITA but it's worth it to race with 70-ish 944s.

I gotta ask where have all these race 944's been hiding? Until this event i was under the impression that the cars were going to be slowly keep dwindling. I'm pretty sure in the north chapter im driving the most recent new cup car built and not an owner transfer. Its going to be awesome i cant wait to let the new JBR/BEHE motor scream though those NY hills. Now lets just see if hiring Jerard for the event pays off and he can keep it running
