Up to now we have not placed any limit on how wide fender flares can be for PCA Prepared cars for Cup and SC. And while we have not seen any use of this allowed mod, the possibilty has existed that a car could significantly, even excessively, widen the track of the car with this provision.
Accordingly we have decided to place a limit on this provision to avoid any possible competitive imbalance. The limit for fender flares for 2010 for PCA Prepared Cup and SC cars will be 1 inch wider then the factory fender. This one inch is in alignment with the additonal one inch allowed in the wheel size for a PCA Prepared car.

Does this mean we can use the 944 Turbo Fenders in front?

Thanks Greg. I've been in 924S land way too long. So I guess the answer is yes you can use 944 Turbo front fenders.
So what, fender flares would Dave be talking about that would provide the additional 1" width?

The commonly available fiberglass fenders are usually 2" wider than stock. Not sure why anyone would want to flare the front other than to widen track and frontal area. I can fit a 9.5" wide rim in front with a stock fender. Greg F

Per PCA rules - flares must be of factory material (PCA prepared rule 6.C) Only orignal 2.0 L 924 cars can use fiberglass if I read the rules correctly
-----edit
Forgot that 924S should be able to run fiberglass rear flares per cup rules, I think.
