Mine was mailed about a month ago and have not heard anything yet and I am already an SCCA member.

Steve: SCCA apologizes for the delay with yur license – Process for yur application has taken some time because of a couple of issues. First yur Dr. recommended medical be reviewed by SCCA medical so it was sent for review. The second – u only hold a time trial license with SCCA and only had 2 races listed – yur license had to be approved by higher up's because there was not enough information for normal processing. The process does take a bit longer when there are review and approval processes involved but should not have taken as long as it has. Your license has been processed. You should receive it in the next few days.

Thanks for checking Dave. I appreciate it. My Doc is a conservative fellow and checked that box for review because I take a blood pressure med. With only participating in one National event, having your letter helped. I guess I could have listed regional races as support info. Lesson learned here.....if anyone get the review box checked by their doctor, allow 6-8 weeks for processing!

Got my Pro license today. Took about 3 weeks from the time mailed into SCCA. But, needed to apply for scca membership first to include membership number license app., which took another week or so.
So, if u plan to race at Nationals and stilldont have a Pro license, then best you get start now.

Just make sure you expand the shipping options so you can choose the $0.61 USPS rather than the $5.00 UPS!

And don't forget also to include a fellow scca member's number on yur app so you get the $18 discount. If u need a number to use, email me at cup944@aol.com.

Just a reminder/clarification note: the fee for the SCCA Pro comp license is $70. The SCCA form says $140 but this does not apply to the Cup Nationals week and relates to a full year membership. If you have already sent in your app for a Pro license, and you sent $140, let me know and I'll work on a refund for the overpayment.

SCCA Pro Racing has let us know they will be able to process apps for a Pro comp license til the end of August to give Cup drivers ever chance to make Nationals. So if you have not applied yet, there is still time to have the necessary paperwork submitted to SCCA Pro so you can race with us at this great event.
