I'm guessing that's supposed to be AM.

Sorry-one more question on regional races points that are gathered from national championship races.

As I read the MA schedule there are 7 events plus nationals. Does that mean that there are actually 16 "races" that we can score points in towards regional championships? And do we count the best 10 races if there are 16? Or the best 12? It looks like the results table was set up prior to having the nationals as there are only 14 columns for scores...

Or, have I misread something somewhere? :?

Best 10 of 16 total.

The current MA standings is a copy from last year. I need to add two columns.

In case u have trouble getting a scca log book, I have arranged to have a scca scrut at VIR on that Thursday of Nationals at noon time to do inspections and issue log books. It's always a bit more risky to wait til last minute should a car be out of compliance, and then trying to fix the problem at the track the day before the event starts. So, for those who may not have been able to get a scca log book in time, you still have a shot at it at the track . Please let me knwo in advance if you will need to get your car tech at that time.

Just a heads up guys in regards to tires for the 944 Nationals at VIR, we will be arriving on Wednesday Sept 8th and setting up that day for the test day on Thursday Sept 9th. Tires MUST BE ORDERED BY AUGUST 30th for this event. Our orders have to be in to Hoosier by Wednesday Sept 1st so that we receive them in time for this event.

We also can heat cycle your tires prior to the event if necessary. Heat cycling is $10 per tire. Please tell us when you place your tire order.

Phil

If "hot pit" crew are not an SCCA member, is there a weekend pass/membership available?

Yes. Apply for an SCCA annual ($80) membership, or a single event ($35) temporary membership.

Consider that a 3 day spectator ticket is $40 and that doesnt get you in the paddock, and you can't even buy the Hot Pass.

All the lodging trackside at VIR is booked. So be sure to try the Sleep Inn, sponsor of the 944 Cup. The normal rates are $89.99 for King room and $99.99 Double room. For all 944 Cup racers they will offer $72.99 for a King and $74.99 for a double.

Sleep Inn , Danville:

The number of rooms on hold for Cup is limited and the hold expires August 25.
