Finalizing the North schedule presented some difficult choices. Needed an early date to get the season started and the only two options left were Lime Rock and the Beav.
Polled some drivers and of course it was split down the middle. Folks either had LR as number 1 option or last option. The Beav was no drivers first choice. Both have their shortcomings. Biggest drawback with the Beav was that it only provided for opening the North season two weeks earlier which was a primary goal for adding this early date. LR on the hand starts the season 5 weeks earlier.
So here is the North schedule:
April 27/28 Lime Rock/pca June 1/3 Watkins Glen/pca June 22/24 VIR/pca July 28/29 NJMP /Lightning emra Sept 8/9 NJMP Lightning /emra Sept 28/30 Summit Point/pca

What about the traditional late August PCA/T-Bolt weekend? It's become a classic!

Looking forward to Lime Rock and crossing it off the track bucket list.

Is there a big noise restriction at Lime Rock? After talking to some of my cutomers they dont go there because of that.......long way to go to be sent home for a loud car. One of my customers that was sent home had a stock gt3 with sport exhaust (factory) and it didnt pass

Last year there were 10 SP 2 and 3 cars at the LR event, including several Cup regulars, so having a 944 noise compliant would not seem unrealistic.

Be prepared get a tailpipe extension, and point it away from the sound checker. The NAPA close to LRP is well stocked on this item!

It's bad enough they don't allow events on Sunday because of noise but this would be ridiculous. I certainly hope this won't be an issue, especially since I have no muffler.

On a separate note, anyone know what the facilities are like at LR? Specifically power availability and showers for those of us that sleep in our trailers?

And I'll let some of the locals report on the showers, but I don't remember any and the bathrooms were on the same level as Summit before they rebuilt them, ie pretty grungy. On the bright side, the paddock was finally paved. It used to be grass/dirt which turned to mud when it rained which it probably will in April. And the food used to be pretty good at the food stand.
